ARTIST BIO
As a professional, Nat has continually worked (and struggled) towards finding interesting mixes between art, business, entrepreneurship, and grass roots communities. From his early work as the co-founder of OuterSound.com, one of the first independent music portals, to the Chicago-based Conjugate Projekt and TransAmoeba, to teaching at DePaul University and the Art Institute, and now with Zero One Projects, a for-profit video and design company and the non-profit, Chicago Art Department, Nat has always tried to find the balance between survival, independence and expression.
Nat earned a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate and MFA from the School of the
Art Institute of Chicago. Nat's undergraduate studies were in Political Science and Philosophy, graduating with a BA from Georgetown University.

STATEMENT
As an interMEDIA artist, Nat Soti is continuously exploring connections. Motivated by curiosity and the exploration of media, Nat brings together graphic design, documentary filmmaking, video art, music, writing, architecture, drawing, painting, a love of history, politics, pop culture and philosophy all into a mess that always strives to make some sort of sense.
