STATEMENT
As an artist and contributor to the Electronic Age, it was important for me to address the computer as an artistic tool. As a result of this investigation, I befriended the computer. As our friendship grew, I became more and more interested in the relationship between tradition and technology.
Using the computer as a sketchpad, and a mouse as a brush, the whimsical, child-like imagery created in vibrant colors and angular lines reflect light-hearted observations of American life. The enamel paintings and murals based on the computer drawn images stand at the crossroads of fine art and disposable technology, illustrating the relationship between tradition and contemporary culture.
