STATEMENT

Mike Famous is a painter whose approach is antithetical to mine. Working with photographic images of decaying architectural structures, the original image is printed onto canvas and then altered with paints, thread, ink and collage. In the process we are both clarifying and intensifying the image in both subtle and intense ways.
