ARTIST BIO
As her father tells it, Brecon was holding a paintbrush before she could even hold a pencil. Brecon is a 3rd grade teacher in the Chicago Public School system, but painting has been a passion of hers since a very young age. Though never formally trained, Brecon has taken many informal classes throughout her life. When she paints, Brecon gets lost in the world of her painting, and reality just slips away. Brecon captures an individual's emotion and experience through detailed paintings of the human figure and face. She also draws inspiration from Mexican art, in particular the art created for the Mexican holiday, Day of the Dead. |
