ARTIST BIO
Julianne Ingles, a Chicago native, began her education
in painting at the age of nineteen at Arizona State
University. Upon returning to Chicago she began
post-bachelor studies at the Art Institute of Chicago.
Julianne studied with and was inspired by such
painters as Madeleine Jossem and Karl Wirsum. |

STATEMENT
Julianne Ingles, a Chicago native, began her education
in painting at the age of nineteen at Arizona State
University. Upon returning to Chicago she began
post-bachelor studies at the Art Institute of Chicago.
Julianne studied with and was inspired by such
painters as Madeleine Jossem and Karl Wirsum.
At present her paintings are influenced by mythology
and literature. Julianne is working with simplified
figures and exploring them as representations of
people in her life. Some are dark, some light. Each
canvas unravels a story.
