STATEMENT
Jewelry has always been a passion of mine. Since I was a little girl, I have
loved shopping through boutiques, antique shops, and flea markets for
treasures. My mother and I would bring them home, take them apart, and
rebuild them into something better. A brooch or pendant from the flea
market, some jet beads found on a broken necklace at a garage sale, and silk from the craft store, all came together into something unique and irresistible that we couldn't wait to wear. My appreciation for these
treasures grew while I was studying art history in college.
Today, I shop everywhere I can, from antique and flea markets, bead expos,
small specialty shops, and suppliers all over the world. I am always
searching for fun and unusual components, from vintage German glass or
crystal to Ming Dynasty pottery shards, sterling and pewter charms, lush
ribbons, and semi-precious stones.
My pieces may be strung on beading cord, hand knotted on silk, crocheted, or wire wrapped, using whatever process suits the beads to expose their
intricate qualities. The finished pieces are wearable and flexible; for
example, my lariats can be worn as bracelets, belts, chokers, or long
necklaces. My jewelry is fun, funky, and often luxurious. I want you to
feel like a princess, to bring home a treasure to love and cherish.
